International Student Ministry

iFam

Our desire is to build an international family by caring for international students and hoping to provide a “home away from home”.

The idea for iFam (internationalFamily) started out of the desire of local church members that were former international students at UMASS, to care for international students and meet their needs during their time here. Our desire is to serve people from all different geographic, ethnic and religious backgrounds. We are committed to serve, promote social connections and engage in spiritual conversations with international students so that students become leaders internationally.

There are many ways that are helpful in caring for and connecting with international students. We are called to care for the sojourner in the land (Leviticus 19:33-34) and we see that God has a heart to reach the nations in Revelation with every tribe, tongue and nation before the throne of God (Revelation 7:9).

We strive to meet the practical needs of international students and scholars by serving in whatever way we can including: * Airport Pick-ups/Drop-offs * Grocery/Supply Shopping * Game/Movie/Craft Nights * Meals with Families * Holiday Celebrations * Day Trips to the beach, local attractions, etc.
