In 2007 our congregation purchased a 28,000+ sq. ft. facility on 3.5 acres of land to serve the community. Located near both Amherst and Hadley on Rt. 116 in Sunderland, Massachusetts, the Maple Ridge Community Center has undergone major renovations through the relentless efforts and generosity of our members and volunteers. The renovations that have been done so far look great.

Recently we were notified that we could no longer use the completed sections of the Community Center and the building must not be occupied in its current condition due to the need for a more extensive fire alarm system than originally intended and more fire safety precautions. We need to raise $50,000 in order to meet conditions for an occupancy permit. Members of Maple Ridge have given very generously for the last few years. We have invested excess of $900,000 so far in cash and loans. At this time, we need your help. We are looking to raise this money by the end of August, 2009.

Would you kindly consider a generous donation of $120 (equivalent of $10/month for a year), $240 (equivalent of $20/month for a year), $500 or more towards the completion for this project? Your donation of any amount will be of tremendous service to the entire community. Upon hearing our current financial situation, two people have offered to match $5,000 gifts each in funds raised. There are local sports teams, a charter school, a lumber yard and other groups that have used the building and many other groups are waiting to use the gym and auditorium.

Still, we consider this moment but a bump in the road through which God can be glorified as we seek His guidance and wait on Him to accomplish great things!
